The 2020/2021 school year began this Tuesday in person in the Canary Islands and “normally”, as they have insisted from the Canary Government in the last hours. However, through social networks, it has been possible to verify how in many centers the families gathered at the doors of the buildings without respecting the safety distance.
This has led management teams -as is the case of CEIP Ayatimas (Tenerife) – have had to spread messages remembering and thanking families “the effort they are making to make everything work.” But what “Faced with a situation as unusual as this, we ask that, once you leave your children at the appropriate time, leave the area free so that those who enter later can access without problem.”

However, the spokesman for the Canary Islands scientific committee for COVID-19, Lluis Serra, has acknowledged his surprise upon seeing some of the images released. And through his Twitter account he wondered if “For this, Education and Health are giving everything.”
