Canal Sur Radio y Televisión (CSRTV) has received the Asecan Award to the Industry granted by the Association of Distribution Companies of Andalusia (Aedava), within the framework of the annual gala of the Andalusian Cinema Awards organized by the Association of Film Writers and Writers of Andalusia (Asecan) with the official collaboration of the SGAE Foundation, which was held this Saturday at the Lope de Vega Theater in Seville.
The heads of the Canal Sur Film Department, Leo Sardiña and Paz Piñar, have been in charge of collecting the award on behalf of Andalusian public television, as reported by RTVA in a note.
Leo Sardiña thanked the distributors and Asecan for the award, “for being a torch”, while pointing out that “our commitment as public television is to be with Andalusian cinema, and as we have seen in this gala, nothing less than eleven films participated by Canal Sur are nominated “.

In addition to the delivery of the awards that distinguish the Andalusian cinematographic works of the past year, the Aedava has presented the Asecan Award of the Industry-Aedava 2021 to the Andalusian radio television for its support to the cinematographic exhibition companies in the reopening of theaters after the shutdown that caused the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.
For the eighth consecutive year, and by virtue of the agreement signed with Asecan, the Association of Audiovisual Distribution Companies of Andalusia awards the Aedava Industry Award, in order to recognize a personality or institution related to the field of action of distribution and exhibition In Andalucia.
This year, Canal Sur Radio y Televisión has won this award “for its constant support for the theaters and commitment to Andalusian cinema”; especially for the advertising campaign it carried out during the months of June and July of last year to promote the reopening of theaters after the first wave of the pandemic.

The 33rd Andalusian Film Awards Ceremony has been held at the Lope de Vega Theater in Seville with the official support of the SGAE Foundation and the support of the Seville City Council, Egeda (Entity for the Management of Rights of Audiovisual Producers) , Aedava (Andalusian Audiovisual Distribution Company Association), Aisge Foundation (Artists, Interpreters, Management Society) and Tabacasol (Asecan Official Advisory).
FILMS WITH PARTICIPATION FROM CANAL SUR
Eight of the productions that have been awarded this Saturday have the participation of Canal Sur, among them, ‘Antonio Machado. The blue days’, by Laura Hojman, who, with six awards, has triumphed at this gala, winning the awards for best direction, best script, best original music, best sound, best photography and best montage.
For its part, ‘El inconveniente’, by Bernabé Rico, has won three awards – Best feature film, best leading female performance and best costumes – as well as ‘The Wish List’ – Best Original Song, Best Direction artistic and best production direction -, while Ángel Gómez has won the award for Best New Director for ‘Voces’, which has also won the award for best makeup and hairdressing.
‘My great farewell’ has won the award for Best revelation female performance, for Eloína Marcos, while ‘La mancha negra’ has won the award for Best revelation male performance (Ignacio Nacho).
The award for the best special effects went to ‘Para todos la muerte’, and, finally, ‘El Estado contra Pablo Ibar’ won the award for Best in other formats.
