With a mortgage of seven points, the wrestlers of SV Wacker Burghausen are going into the semi-final rematch for the German team championship against ASV Schorndorf tomorrow, Saturday at 7:20 p.m. After the heavy 8:15 defeat in the first meeting, the fifth final in a row is a long way off. Nevertheless, the series champion does not want to admit defeat. With the support of the local fans and great fighting spirit, the “Wrestling Miracle from the Salzach” should succeed.
“We will do everything to make it possible to reach the final. And we have to take the greatest possible risk for this. We’ll get everyone on our team ready to give 120 percent and take every possible point. We can no longer afford careless mistakes”, SVW head coach Eugen Ponomarchuk gets his protégés excited for the most important mission of the year. He adds: “We will have every wrestler who could be considered for our team roster in the hall to be able to react to any surprise from Schorndorf.
