Yovita Mulyakusuma, a specialist in internal medicine, consultant allergy immunology at Eka Hospital Cibubur, said that allergies can indeed be eliminated and cured.
“Yes, especially for allergies with mild symptoms. Such as red spots or itching, they can be removed,” said Yovita at a media meeting with Eka Hospital in Bogor, West Java, at the end of February.
Yovita said that the main way to eliminate or cure an allergic reaction is to know the allergy-causing substance that can make the body react to it. If the source is known, eliminating it will certainly be easier.

After that, carry out continuous exposure of the body to the allergen substance.
For example, you have an allergy to a certain food. Try consuming foods that cause allergies little by little until your body finally gets used to the food.
Allergies actually occur due to the body’s response to different immune stimuli. Therefore, improvements can be made by getting the body used to substances that make it more sensitive.
“For example, you are allergic to shrimp. Eat shrimp slowly. Do it more often, over time the allergy symptoms will disappear,” he said.
This reaction disappears because the body or immune system begins to get used to the substance until it no longer considers it a foreign object.
However, this method cannot be done carelessly. Consultation with a doctor is necessary in this case.
Apart from that, this method cannot be used on patients with severe allergy symptoms.
“For example, if the allergy symptoms are shortness of breath, or even anaphylaxis, of, should not. “Because it can be life threatening,” he said.
