One hundred people with type 1 diabetes can try the ‘artificial pancreas’ this month. The device was invented by Robin Koops who himself has type 1 diabetes and was not happy with the way he had to deal with his diabetes. Now, fifteen years after his inspiration, the artificial pancreas is finally on the market.
