MEXICO CITY.- In the 33 neighborhoods of the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office, the Campaign for Medical Attention to Women with Breast Cancer and Prevention for 40-year-old Women will be launched, informed the elected mayor, Sandra Cuevas.
Cuevas and the Breast Cancer Foundation (Fucam) announced that the campaign will be in effect for the entire next administration without cost for care or mammograms.
Since the objective is to support, on a monthly basis, more than 100 women from the 33 colonies of the mayor’s office to adopt preventive measures against breast cancer ”, it was reported in a statement.
Cuevas indicated that the number of women to attend may increase, as well as the coverage radius, depending on the needs.
The campaign will have the support of two Fucam Medical Units with five specialists each.
In the first stage, the registration for assessment appointments will be through Cuevas’ social networks.
In the event that cancer is detected in any of the women, they will be given timely follow-up and treatment with the possibility, as the case may be, of supporting with some medical expenses, in order to reduce mortality levels, it was indicated in the statement. .
