Various speculations, hints and leaks have been swirling around this year’s installment of the Call of Duty series for a long time. Originally, there was talk that the new episode might not come out this year at all. Later, it was rumored that we were in for a big premium stand-alone expansion that would build on the foundations of last year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.
According to the new information the well-known insider Tom Henderson is finally expected this year as well a full-fledged new part called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. This information coincides with a February article by Jason Schreier, who also talked about the standard work, but did not specifically mention Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III.
Citing his own sources, Henderson further claims that it will be part of a traditional cut that will offer various multiplayer modes, a single-player campaign and a zombie mode. It should also arrive a month after the game’s release new map for Warzone 2.
As usual, several Activision studios are involved in the development of the game. However, he should bear the leading role and responsibility studio Sledgehammer Games, which in the past brought parts like Vanguard, WWII or Advanced Warfare.
