The next Call of Duty, which could still appear in 2020, should not get its own Battle Royale mode, according to insider reports. Instead, there should be other ways to suggest Battle Royale to players – via a reference to Call of Duty: Warzone.

Call of Duty 2020 without Battle Royale?
As the insider Tom Henderson currently reports, Call of Duty 2020 does not have its own BR mode. Henderson has in the past considered, among other things, for true leaks Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and other titles made a name – albeit under the name Long Sensation, before Activision put a stop to it.
The current plan is for Warzone to be somehow integrated into CoD 2020. It’s likely that Warzone will be accessible via the CoD 2020 menu. This is because CoD 2020 will not have its own Battle Royale mode.

He states that Battle Royale in Call of Duty 2020 should only refer to Warzone via an in-game menu. Accordingly, the title does not have a battle royale mode per se, which should be related to the “new” setting.
Warzone instead of new BR mode?
Basically, that wouldn’t really make sense, so Infinity Ward and Raven Software are finally planning to support Warzone over the next few years. We can therefore imagine Warzone as a kind of BR service game that is gradually being filled with content. The 4. Season begins as early as June 3, 2020. Activision has a similar notch to Epic Games Fortnite or EA with Apex Legends.
Although Henderson’s information has proven to be fairly credible in the past, this is of course not an official confirmation from the developer or publisher. What the Activision BR solution for Call of Duty 2020 looks like can only be speculated.
Other insiders, however, speak of another, dedicated BR game from Sledgehammer Gamessupported by Raven Software. We are already looking forward to the official announcement.

What can we expect with Call of Duty 2020? Recently, current information indicated Cold War setting or directly in the Vietnam War. It should also be part of the Black Ops series, but may not be Black Ops 5.
