Two California children have been reported ill after going to a clinic with his parents to be administered the dose of the vaccine against covid-19. Nevertheless, the clinic applied several incorrect doses for some minors, so parents show their outrage at the situation.
“I am here tonight to report my story because it is unacceptable, you hope that your medical professionals will give you the correct doses.” Said Denise Iserloth, mother of one of the children affected by ABC7.
Iserloth took her two sons, ages 8 and 11, to the Sutter Health pediatric vaccine clinic in Antioch for the weekend, where they received 20 micrograms of doses instead of the 10 recommended, as had been stipulated by the health authorities.
However, they weren’t the only children who were affected.as the clinic administered incorrect doses to 14 children in California. So the Sutter Health clinic issued a statement explaining its error.
Nevertheless, Iserloth reported that her two sons missed school due to severe stomach pains and his eldest son fell twice in the hours after the injection.
“I understand the mandate, I tried to comply with it and now my children have been given a double dose and I do not know the long-term side effects.” Iserloth said.
On the other hand, a local doctor reported that the children should be fine and that the symptoms would disappear after a couple of days. Because several children were tested at 10, 20, and 30 micrograms during clinical trials.
“Headache, muscle aches, fever in some cases, chills, but they should go away in a day or two. So I would say hold on tight, don’t worry too much and that’s all that is expected,” said Dr. Chin. -Hong.
