A sequence of earthquakes has been going on just before 2 am on the western coast of Calabria, the Tyrrhenian coast, in front of the provinces of Cosenza and Catanzaro, felt up to Reggio Calabria. Over 10 earthquakes have been recorded so far, the strongest of which of magnitude 3.9 (Richter scale) at 1.52, with epicenter 7 km from Nocera Terinese (Catanzaro) and Serra d’Aiello (Cosenza) and hypocenter at 33 km depth . The other two highest replies, of magnitude 3.4 and 3.5, were recorded at 1.55 and 2:02 respectively (the other shocks were all below 2.7 degrees). No harm, but many people spilled into the street.
