Thiruvananthapuram: After the demise of Oommen Chandy, the Legislative Assembly has issued a notification that there is a vacancy for a People’s Representative in Puthupally Assembly Constituency of Kottayam District. A copy of this will be forwarded to the Election Commission. With this, the Election Commission will enter into the procedures for conducting by-elections within 6 months.
By-elections in different states are usually held together. This is the second by-election to be held after the second Pinarayi government came to power.
