Former KPK deputy chairman Bambang Widjojanto (BW) asked for leadership KPK don’t be arrogant about the withdrawal of the two generals in the KPK to the National Police. KPK chairman Firli Bahuri explained the transfer of the two Polri generals.
Firli said the KPK had proposed promotions for the Deputy for Enforcement and the Director of Investigation. The proposal letter was sent in November 2022.
“At the KPK, the Deputy for Enforcement has served for 2 years and 9 months while the Director of Investigation for 2 years and 5 months,” said Firli, Saturday (11/2/2023).
“The proposed promotion is part of the career development of every Civil Servant Employed (PNYD) at the Corruption Eradication Commission in their respective institutions, including employees from elements of the National Police,” he said.
It is also said that the KPK has carried out this pattern of career development for a long time. This career development is applied to ASN KPK as part of HR management.
“The leadership realizes the importance of an excellent and qualified KPK institution, one of which is of course the quality and competence of each human resource,” said Firli.
“This is to support the effectiveness of carrying out the task of eradicating corruption in an optimal manner, both through anti-corruption education efforts, prevention and prosecution of criminal acts of corruption,” he said.
Firli denied the withdrawal of the 2 generals was related to the investigation of cases at the KPK. The question of this mutation is considered normal at the KPK.
“Thus, HR management is a reasonable mechanism and even a necessity, and we ensure that it is not related to the handling of cases at the KPK,” he said.
BW protests
BW protested about the removal of two generals in the KPK. The two generals were recalled to their original institution, the National Police. BW asked the KPK leadership under Chairman Firli Bahuri not to show arrogance.
“Actions like this must end. The KPK leadership must no longer show one man, be arrogant, arrogant, and act arbitrarily and take actions that have indications against the law,” BW said in a written statement, Saturday (11/2).
The two generals who were recalled to Polri from the KPK were Deputy Enforcement Officer Karyoto and Director of Investigation Endar Priantoro. BW suspects that BW’s removal is related to the polemic over Anies Baswedan’s suspicions in the Formula E case. The two generals refused because there was not enough evidence, but Firli cs wants Anies to be a suspect.
“It is believed by the public that the transfer is strongly suspected to be closely related to internal disputes and is in the process of being exposed, including when three KPK leaders led an exposure at the BPK regarding the Formula E case which would suspect Anies Baswedan,” said BW.
