Just like in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the United Kingdom were warned about the consequences of storm Ciara. Travelers in particular were confronted with it: flights were canceled, roads closed due to fallen trees and a number of trains were canceled.
Hundreds of people from Thalys from Paris to Amsterdam were forced to spend the night in Brussels because the train was unable to continue due to storm damage. The German high-speed train ICE was also unable to continue in some places, which meant that passengers had to spend the night on the train.
Storm damage was present almost everywhere, such as here in Berlin. A scaffolding fell on the road there.
