Busy again at test location Terschelling | Inland

The test location is located in a church in the village of Midsland, not far from the popular youth campsite Appelhof. The building opened at 9 AM. The testers would continue until 11:30 a.m., after which the samples would be taken by ferry to the mainland for testing in a laboratory. But there is also so much enthusiasm on Friday that testing continues in the afternoon. Those people have to wait longer for their results.

At least eight young people who have been on the campsite have contracted the virus. The tests on Thursday revealed another case, but it is not known if that is a camping guest, another tourist or an islander. A further 133 tests on Thursday were negative. A total of about seventy people who were tested on Thursday will hear their results on Friday.

Some young people left the island on Thursday evening after a negative test. They were taken to Harlingen by water taxi. There are probably also young people who took the ferry to the mainland without testing. They are free to do so, nobody is obliged to be tested, but the GGD does ask them to keep a close eye on their health.
