Busworld Turkey, the first show since the pandemic, almost sold out

A very symbolic fair, since Busworld Turkey was the last fair just before the world’s borders were closed due to the pandemic -March 2020- and now it turns out to be the first Busworld fair after the pandemic. Busworld is back.

In the last edition of 2020, the exhibition welcomed 129 exhibitors. The show was visited by 7,935 trade visitors, which was surprisingly good considering that the co-virus pandemic was starting to spread at the time. Currently, the exhibition already has 130 exhibitors and this figure continues to grow steadily. Vehicle manufacturers, bus and coach builders and coachbuilders will display their latest vehicles on an area of 12,500 m2: Anadolu Isuzu, Karsan, Otokar, BMC, Güleryüz, Mapar MAN, Bur-Can, Buskar, Erener, Erduman, Eşref Karoser, Gürsözler, and Harputlu. They provide a mix of vehicles of different dimensions (from double-decker to minibus), drivelines and types (public transport, tourism, long-distance travel, VIP transport, etc.). Being able to experience all these vehicles in one place it is what will once again attract bus and coach buyers – and lovers – to Istanbul in May. Of course, the show will also give the floor to Turkish and international suppliers of all kinds. Brands such as Allison Transmission, ZF, Voith, Webasto, Aselsan, Fogmaker and many more will be represented again.

Webinars Busworld

In 2022, Busworld Turkey started a series of webinars spoken in Turkish with a first webinar on February 9 entitled “The impact of the pandemic on public transport in Turkey”, moderated by Mr. Kemal Karayormuk, Member of the Executive Council of IPRU and Academic Advisor of TOBB. The panel consisted of high-level representatives from various Turkish industry associations: Ercan Soydaş, Director of TÖHOB, Mustafa Yıldırım, Director of TOF and Turgay Gül, Director of İSTAB. It was a very interactive debate with the online audience. The full webinar can be viewed again via this link.

At the beginning of April Two more webinars will be organized in early May. On this occasion, the manufacturing industry will speak, giving its point of view on the evolution of zero emissions and post-pandemic changes in buses and coaches.

Busworld Turkey will have its own Speakers’ Corner located at the Busworld stand at the pavilion two. Exhibitors are invited to present short papers on specific projects and best cases. The The room will also be open to start-ups who want to share their ideas with the bus and coach community. Visitors will be able to integrate this into their visit. The open stand will provide an ideal environment to create an interaction between the speaker(s) and the public. Visiting a fair is not only about obtaining information about the products, but also about getting an idea of what is happening in the sector.
