We called 112, but there was no response, is there an umbrella over Nikolay Dimov-Vrchashka and his son Dimitar?, asks our reader
The agricultural producer from Bolyarovo municipality Nikolay Dimov, known in the area by the nickname Varshachka, plowed with heavy machinery protected areas of NATURA 2000 in order to build a hunting lodge in the forest. This alerts our reader in our column “Your signal to Flagman.bg”. He also sent us videos that were shot today. The activities are carried out in the area between the villages of Valchi Izvor and Gorska Polyana, behind the area of Rosenski Bair, Bolyarovo Municipality.
“About two weeks ago he dug the road up with his bulldozer. Today, his machines – two tractors with trailers, carried a concrete slab, carry out construction with a cabin, which will probably be used for poaching. The terrain is in NATURA 2000. As you know, activities in the protected area are prohibited, any such activities”, we also understand in the report.
Our reader filed a report on tel. 112. A little later he received a call from the police, but after he explained who it was, they stopped responding, he claims.
According to our reader, this was not the first violation of Nikolay Dimov, a farmer from the village of Stefan Karadjovo.
“In a farm where he produces grain, he built sheds – 5 in the village of Stefan Karadjovo and as many in the village of Ruzhitsa. He had no permits to build them. Complaints have been filed by many people to the competent institutions. RDNSK established that those in the village of Stefan Karadjovo are illegal. He only removed one even though he needed all 5. There are reports against the others as well where we expect a review to be done. Separately, he excavated the bank of the Malko Sharkovo dam in order to pump water. Not in the way he’s allowed to. It’s supposed to be by air, and he put pipes underground in private lots, without the owners’ permission. He feels unpunished, he makes one phone call and solves his problems, he has a police umbrella that protects him and his son Dimitar,” says our reader. He requested anonymity because he has repeatedly received threats and fears for his life and property.
Reports have been submitted to all competent institutions, including the Municipality of Bolyarovo, the report claims. Flagman.bg tried to contact the mayor Hristo Hristov, but he did not answer our phone calls, probably because of the Sunday holiday.
