Business Coordinating Council will create mechanisms against workplace violence

The Business Coordinating Council (CCE) and the Boston Center for Latin America will work together to prevent workplace violence and promote tolerance in the workplace.

For this, they will perform a mechanism of investigation and resolution complaints and will implement disciplinary and restorative measures to promote and strengthen an environment of respect and emotional well-being.

Carlos Salazar Lomelín, president of the Business Coordinating Council (CCE), said that it is necessary to have mechanisms that prevent these behaviors both in the labor sphere as well as for the collaborators and their interpersonal relationships.

The CCE leader said that these actions are also aimed at consolidating a more just, inclusive, responsible and sustained country, where women always have the possibility to grow and develop and be a factor of growth.

“We cannot allow more people to suffer discrimination in their work, to lose opportunities for growth, or what is worst, to face harassment and workplace or sexual harassment,” he said.

Salazar Lomelín, He explained that it is essential for the employer to highlight the principles and respect for human rights in labor matters, which is why he promised to combat violence.

Advances against workplace violence

The business leader reported that the CCE took action, such as the Inclusion and Diversity Commission.

In which, together with several other organizations, institutions and specialists, effective mechanisms are analyzed and proposed to prevent, as well as “remove any of this nature that for us is total and absolutely inadmissible ”.

The president of the CCE commented that the work with the Boston Center for Latin America seeks to sensitize and train the entire Council team on the different manifestations of these actions and finally, it will lead to the creation of the mechanism for the investigation and resolution of labor complaints .
