Deutsche Bahn offers a replacement bus service, also every half hour during the day. The travel times of the buses between Breisach and Freiburg are estimated at 50 minutes compared to 25 minutes with the S-Bahn. The departure times of the buses in Breisach (on weekdays at minute 27 and 57) and Freiburg (at minute 15 and 45) are designed so that they allow you to change to and from the S-Bahn line 11 between Gottenheim and Endingen in Gottenheim commutes every half hour.
