The 16 sports ministers of the federal states met again on Monday on the subject. Bremen’s sports senator Anja Stahmann subsequently underlined in a statement that the season could continue – but only at a later point in time: “The SMK considers the continuation of the game in the Bundesliga before empty spectator stands (Sports Ministers’ Conference / editor’s note) still reasonable from the middle or end of May. “
However, the German Football League must “create, enforce and check the most stringent hygienic and medical conditions with suitable measures”. The Federal Ministry of Labor is currently examining the current DFL concept and improving it in constant exchange. An agreement is considered likely.
One thing is certain according to BILD information: There will be no permanent quarantine for the teams until the end of the season. A possible mask requirement for the players should also not be an issue.
