Bundesliga – Kohr loan extended – New assistant coach

Frankfurt (oz / pf) – Bundesliga soccer team Eintracht Frankfurt and league rivals 1. FSV Mainz 05 have agreed that Dominik Kohr’s loan will continue beyond the end of the season. The 27-year-old will be loaned from the Main to the Rhine for another year. In Frankfurt he has a contract until June 30, 2024. In addition, Eintracht presents its new assistant coach: Oliver Glasner can count on Michael Angerschmid, a long-time confidante.

In the summer of 2019, Eintracht Kohr signed Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Born in Trier, he has since played 49 competitive games for the Eagle Bearers, nine of them in the UEFA Europa League including qualification. There he also scored his only goal, in the 5-0 win in Vaduz. Last January Kohr moved to Mainz on loan.

Michael Angerschmid becomes assistant trainer

Following the departure of head coach Adi Hütter and his assistants Christian Peintinger and Armin Reutershahn, Eintracht Frankfurt initially signed Oliver Glasner as head coach last week. The 46-year-old signed a contract until June 30, 2024. It is now certain that his long-time assistant coach Michael Angerschmid will also take on this task in the Main metropolis and will also receive a working paper with the same term.

The two Austrians Michael Angerschmid and Oliver Glasner are long-time companions. Their age difference is only about half a year, both played together at SV Ried in Upper Austria. Angerschmid then became an interim and later assistant coach while Glasner was still active. In 2014 Glasner took over the coaching position at SV Ried von Angerschmid. A year later, the paths of the two UEFA Pro license holders at LASK came together again – and have not parted since then. Angerschmid worked four years at LASK and two years at VfL Wolfsburg as assistant coach at Oliver Glasner’s side, during which time she coached almost 250 games. The team from Linz qualified for the UEFA Europa League for the first time with Glasner and Angerschmid, while VfL Wolfsburg qualified for the UEFA Champions League again after five years of abstinence due to fourth place in the 2020/21 season.

Michael Angerschmid was born in Schärding (Austria), is 47 years old and played football for SV Ried from his youth until the end of his active career.
