Last September, the Second Chamber of the SCJN, headed by Minister Alberto Pérez Dayán, attracted the appeal promoted by the company that challenged the decision of the federal judge to stop bullfighting in the country’s capital for more than a year. .

⇒ The company that promoted the appeal is Diversiones y Espectáculos ETM, which claimed the determination granted by Judge Jonathan Bass Herrera, which prevents bullfighting in the aforementioned plaza in Mexico City since May 2022.

Now, the Plaza de Toros México will be able to reopen its doors to the brava party once it is officially notified of the Supreme Court’s ruling. Despite this, the amparo trial against bullfighting in Mexico City will continue its course until a ruling is issued on the matter.
