Bulgarian Monbat is selling its assets for BGN 35 million in Austria

The Bulgarian battery manufacturer Monbat intends to sell its assets in Austria and to invest the attracted companies in the development of its core business. This is clear from the report on the general meeting of the shareholders, published on the x3new platform.

The document proposes to the shareholders to fill the company’s rights to start negotiations for the sale of the work, including the Monbats and the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy. The meeting is scheduled for April 21.

As for the Austrian assets of the company, they are estimated at approximately BGN 35 million. According to the information provided by the company, the idea is to successfully obtain additional liquidity during the successful finalization of the company’s share and to provide information.

According to the documents submitted for the general meeting, Monbat said that the sale was in full swing, because during the war in Ukraine there were no cases. The company acquired its assets in Austria in 2019.

Monbat expects to have a plant operating in Bulgaria for the production of bipolar lead-acid batteries at the end of 2023 or the beginning of 2024.
