jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Vivo announced that it has just built an R&D center in Xi’An, China.

The factory construction is to support the increasingly innovative photography technology.

“This R&D center is expected to support a variety of future Vivo smartphone innovations,” said Senior Brand Director of Vivo Indonesia, Edy Kusuma in a written statement, Monday (22/3).

Edy added that the presence of this facility will add to the line of research facilities Vivo scattered in various countries.

Previously, Vivo had nine similar facilities to carry out its research, such as the development of 5G and 6G network technology, artificial intelligence (AI), design exploration, and mobile imaging.

Currently, the R&D center chain is supported by 700 professional technicians who specialize in hardware and software development, as well as algorithm formulation.

In addition, Vivo has also complemented the support of a series of independent R&D centers in collaboration with Zeiss, a leading German optical manufacturer.

The two manufacturers want to develop a mobile imaging system, which will be implemented in the flagship series of smartphones.
