Bug stops 120 Hz in many third-party apps

As the Iphone 13 Pro has now begun to find its way among more users, it was soon discovered that many third-party apps cannot reach over 60 Hz refresh rate, which was the maximum in previous years’ Iphone models.

As you know, this year’s Pro models will be able to handle up to 120 Hz in variable update frequency with their so-called Promotion screen.

Apple now confirms that developers will need to enable behavior in their apps, writes 9 to 5 Mac. However, the documentation for how this will be done is not completely clear yet, but will be published at a later time.

Standard animations such as scrolling should automatically go up to 120 Hz without developers having to activate this.
