Bruce Springsteen tested positive for covid-19. With just a few days to go before the start of the European tour in Barcelona, the only stop on the Boss In Spain, it has been known that the popular American musician contracted the disease on April 14, after a concert at the Prudential Center in Newark, in New Jersey.
It was Springsteen’s last stop in the United States before traveling to Europe to begin his tour at the Barcelona Olympic Stadium, with two concerts (April 28 and 30), the second confirmed after the high demand for tickets. The tour will end at the end of July in Monza (Italy) and then return to the United States.

The covid forced the 73-year-old rock star to cancel at the last minute his participation in the American Music Honors awards ceremony, held last weekend. His wife Patti Scialfa, a member of The E Street Band, a group with which he shares the tour, also tested positive.
The European tour is the return of Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band live since their 14-month world tour ended in Australia in February 2017. In 2016 it was the last time he visited Barcelona.
Waiting to confirm that the Boss is recovering from the disease, his loyal followers can enjoy from April 20th the photographs that Francesc Fàbregas took during Bruce Springsteen’s first concert in Spain, which took place on April 21st 1981 at the Barcelona Sports Palace. They can be seen from April 20 to May 14 in the Jardín del Palau Robert in Barcelona, reported Sony Music.
In a statement, the general director of Difusió de la Generalitat, Eva Pomares, pointed out that “that first meeting with Springsteen left an indelible mark all over the world. Musicians, promoters, journalists and the public lived intensely the three hours that the performance lasted of the Boss and his inseparable E Street Band”.
