DFB-Pokal: broadcast on TV and live stream on Sky, ARD, Sport1
All 63 games of the DFB-Pokal tournament will be played live by the pay TV provider Sky transfer. The Munich broadcaster has secured the rights to all games. The public broadcaster ARD however, shows a total of nine games live. In the first two rounds there is one game each, in the eighth and semi-finals two games, and the final will also be broadcast live. And also the free TV channel Sport1 Broadcasts live: fans can watch one game per round there in full for free.
The rights will be renegotiated in the coming season. Then the transmission rights for the seasons 2022/23 to 2025/26 will be reassigned.
Broadcast at the DFB-Pokal 21/22: schedule and dates
The first main round of the DFB Cup took place from 6 to 25 August 2021. The second round will follow at the end of October. The round of 16 games will be played on January 18 and 19, 2022, and the quarter-finals on March 1 and 2, 2022. The semi-finals will be played on April 19 and 20, 2022. Fans traditionally experience the highlight of the DFB Cup, the final game, in the Berlin Olympic Stadium, where the game will take place on May 21, 2022.

Final and mode in the DFB Cup: defending champion and winner
The final of the DFB Cup game will take place on May 21, 2022. As usual, the game will be played in the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. In order to make it to the final in 2022, a team must survive 5 rounds in knockout mode. In the 20/21 final, Borussia Dortmund went home as the proud winner. The Borussia defeated the RB Leipzig team with a clear 4-1. This is the 5th time that BVB has won the DFB Cup final. However, Bayern Munich holds the title record with a total of 20 cup wins and 24 finals, followed by Werder Bremen in second place, ahead of FC Schalke and Dortmund.
