British actor Julian Sands has been found dead after missing for months. Police in the US state of California confirmed on Tuesday that the human remains found on Saturday belong to Sands.
Sands disappeared in January. The actor went hiking in a mountainous area in the San Bernardino region. Presumably the erratic weather in the area overtook the actor.
There were several large-scale searches for Sands in the area. Those searches were hampered by heavy snowfall. The search resumed earlier this month.
Human remains were found in the area on Saturday. They belong to Sands, according to research. Police did not share any further details.
Sands has turned 65 years old. He was best known for his role in the Oscar-winning film A Room With A View. He also played in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo in series 24 in Smallville.
