London: Britain has become an independent country from the European Union. After four-and-a-half years of Brexit talks, voting and debate, Britain finally left the European Union at 11pm last night.
This marks the end of a 48 – year relationship. However, trade relations with the EU will continue. In June 2016, Britain held a referendum on leaving the European Union.
Boris Johnson came to power with the announcement that Brexit would be implemented. In the end it becomes a reality.
