The UK is concerned that the US, France and Germany will push Ukraine to make significant concessions in peace talks with Russia.

This is written by the British edition The Times.

A senior government source said there was concern that the allies were “overly eager” for a speedy peace, adding that a settlement should only be reached when Ukraine was in the strongest position.

During the call, Boris Johnson warned the president that President Putin is a “liar and bully” who will use the conversations to “tire you out and make you make concessions.” Understandably, Zelensky has also expressed concern about the progress of the talks and whether Moscow is using them to move and bolster its forces.

As UNIAN reported, the next round negotiations between Ukrainian and Russian delegations on ending the war in Ukraine will be held on April 1 via videoconference.

On March 29, another round of talks between Ukraine and Russia took place in Istanbul. The Ukrainian delegation conveyed its proposals and vision of the end of the war.

We are talking, in particular, about a non-bloc status in exchange for “security guarantees” with the participation of the Russian Federation and a number of Western countries, which would correspond to the 5th NATO Statute.

Ukraine also proposes to provide in the future agreement that all guarantor countries not only do not object to joining the EU, but should help in this process.

According to Britain, Russia uses negotiations only for the sake of time to regroup troops and launch a second offensive.

At the same time, the bombardment of Ukrainian cities continues.
