Bridget Maasland gave an extensive interview for the first time after her break with André Hazes. The presenter tells, among other things, that she thought she had found the true one for the first time in her life.
“After the first intense crush, I landed with both feet on the ground again, but I really thought so,” Maasland tells The Telegraph.
“For the first time in my life I thought: this is him! Before that I sometimes thought: this must be him. That was something else.”
Maasland certainly knew it at their first real appointment, mid-November 2019. “We only apped for that after I had been to his concert, a month before that. We immediately had such nice and beautiful conversations.”
Some people thought that the presenter had fired up in the relationship between Hazes and Monique Westenberg, who said on Thursday that they were together again. According to Maasland, nothing of that is true and Hazes and Westenberg were months apart.
To prevent false stories, Maasland therefore decided to write a letter to Hazes’ ex. “Just the truth, my story, instead of what you read. No, she did not respond and she did not have to. I knew that Dré and she dealt well with each other and that Dreetje went well (André, de son of Hazes and Westenberg, ed.). That was the most important thing. “

Both Westenberg and Hazes announced on Thursday that they were together again through a joint photo.
Hazes and Westenberg were a couple since 2014. In October 2016 they had their son André. In the summer of 2018, they arranged for a relationship break of about a month.
In November 2019, they announced that they had broken their relationship again. Shortly thereafter, Hazes announced a relationship with Maasland.
