Four residents of the Etablissement des Neiges de Briançon accommodation facility for dependent elderly people (Ehpad) died of the Covid-19 in a week, Le Dauphiné Libéré learned on Tuesday 12 May. The deaths of two residents of the establishment managed by the Escartons hospital center were announced on May 4.

11 positive professionals but no new cases

All the personnel tested are negative. The 11 professionals tested positive during the previous campaign at the end of April are confined to their homes and their follow-up is organized. “

22 residents affected by Covid-19

As of Tuesday, May 12, the establishment deplores 22 cases of Covid-19. The first cases were diagnosed in early April. “Three residents are hospitalized in Covid medicine,” adds the Escartons hospital center. Thirteen are in SRH (follow-up care and rehabilitation) and six have died. “

If the coronavirus rages, “visits continue at the rate of four to six residents per day except weekends, says the hospital, they are very appreciated by families and residents. The link with families by email, telephone and Skype is maintained. “
