COLIMA, Col., March 9, 2021.- The Ministry of Health and Social Welfare reports that the 5 most common ailments in Mexico for women have to do directly with the risks associated with Covid-19 comorbidities, such as cancer of the breast and cervix, diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and high blood pressure.
Likewise, of the 10,038 cases confirmed in the state by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, 48% are women, representing 4,864 registered cases, the statement said.
The Center for Research in Public Policy reports that those who most resent the pandemic are women, since according to a survey applied between February 25 and March 2, 65% of women said they live with stress, 10 percentage points more than the men.
In this sense, 51% of women experience anguish, against 34% of men; 41% of them live with exhaustion, while 31% of them feel that way; 42% of women expressed anxiety, compared to 31% of men, and 31% expressed depression, compared to 19% in men.
In addition, according to the figures released by the National Institute of Women, according to the National Survey on the Dynamics of Household Relationships, 47 out of 100 Mexican women aged 15 years and over have suffered an incident of emotional violence , economic, physical or sexual.
