Brain Tumor Headaches – Hossam Mowafi Explains Its Specifics

Dr Hossam Mowafi, professor of critical cases at the Faculty of Medicine, Kasr Al-Ainy, stressed the need to visit a doctor when experiencing a headache, especially if it is accompanied by certain symptoms.

Mowafi said during his host of the “Bab Al-Khalq” program hosted by journalist Mahmoud Saad that a headache could be a warning sign of a brain tumor.

The intensive care professor added that headache becomes a sure sign of brain cancer, if the patient suffers from the following symptoms:

Constant forgetfulness.

– He retched.

– Blurred eye.

According to “Healthline,” the headache from a brain tumor differs from other types of headaches in that it causes frequent awakenings, and pain relievers find no benefit in relieving it.

A brain cancer patient suffers from headaches, due to the pressure the malignant tumor places on brain cells as it grows, and as it grows in size, the pain in the head becomes excruciating and difficult to bear, according to the Mayo Clinic .
