The District Command of the PSP of Braga carried out, along this Friday afternoon, a police ‘siege’ to the city of Braga, within the scope of the presidential decree that renewed the State of Emergency, in view of the pandemic of covid-19.

Dozens of agents installed themselves in three of the main roundabouts on the entrance and exit axes of the city, approaching all vehicles that circulated in both directions.

The operation at the Nova Arcada roundabout aimed to control the entrances and exits of those heading from Vila Verde, Prado, Amares or Terras de Bouro to the city of Braga.

In Gualtar, at the roundabout next to the INL and the Meliã hotel. PSP controlled the accesses of those who decided to take shortcuts from the Cávado area, and managed to inspect who was going to Vieira do Minho or Póvoa de Lanhoso.

A woman residing in Braga reported to O MINHO that, on Thursday, she made the Braga-Guimarães trip by municipal route in Trandeiras, and that neither the city (PSP area) nor the parishes (GNR area) saw any operation .

However, GNR was in Morreira this morning, supervising those who crossed between municipalities through the well-known area of ​​Falperra.
