Boy rapes mentally disabled woman (20) in sandwich shop | Abroad

The 20-year-old woman, who is underage for an extended period due to an intellectual disability, was approached by a young man in the morning in the vicinity of the central station. She proposes to have sex in exchange for money, but the woman refuses, reports Nieuwsblad.

However, the young man pursues her and insists that she should come with him. Ultimately, the woman dares to follow him, in a sandwich shop in the Gemeentestraat. At 10.30 am they enter the store and he escorts the woman to the toilets on the first floor. He rapes her in the men’s toilet.

Vulnerable

After the sexual acts, the young woman leaves. The perpetrator waits in the toilets for a while and then walks out casually. Only in the institution where she is currently staying does she tell a supervisor what happened. He will inform the police. “The victim is a very vulnerable person, who at that time could not give permission for what happened,” says Kevin Beeckaert of the local police.

The suspect is about 18 years old and has a slender build. He is not tall in stature, up to about 1.60 meters tall. The man has a narrow face and speaks Dutch.
