Boy (7) died after accident with taxi | Inland

The boy was hit by a taxi around 7 p.m. on April 25. This happened near a zebra crossing on the Fabrieksgracht in Den Helder, near the Jan in’t Veldstraat. He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the taxi was arrested after the accident, as is usual in such serious accidents. Among other things, a statement was taken and it was investigated whether he was under the influence of alcohol or other narcotics. Partly because the investigation is still ongoing, police spokeswoman Mascha Koning cannot answer questions about the facts.
