A boy was stuck with his head between the automatic gate of a house along the Korenwind in Moorslede on Thursday afternoon at 2.30 pm.

The MUG team, an ambulance and the fire brigade were called up on Thursday afternoon when neighbors in the Korenwind noticed that a six-year-old boy had gotten his head stuck between the automatic gate at a house. The neighbors immediately notified the residents of the house. The fire brigade was called to free the boy from his situation. Meanwhile, the residents pulled their son from between the gate, so that his head was no longer trapped.
“When the fire brigade arrived, the boy was freed. He was very lucky. Had the neighbors not been so alert, this could have been much worse, ”said Filip Louagie of the Moorslede fire brigade. The boy sustained some injuries under his abdomen in the incident and was taken to hospital. All in all, he is doing well.
