According to the German newspaper, Gladbach has been intensively working on Pavlidis for some time. Those Fohlen reportedly want to sell French midfielder Manu Koné to free up extra money for the Greek striker. Pavlidis’ contract runs until mid-2025 and his transfer value appears to be around 25 million euros.
Reaching the semi-finals of the DFB Pokal would bring significant financial benefits for Gladbach, who have already earned more than three million euros in bounties so far. The club would earn another three million euros if it reached the semi-finals. On Wednesday evening, Gladbach will play against Saarbrücken in the quarter-finals of the cup competition.

Pavlidis has already scored twenty goals in twenty games for AZ in the Eredivisie this season. The 25-year-old attacker is therefore at the top of the top scorers list in the Dutch competition.
