Börse Express – New York Stocks: Recovery after falling on Friday

NEW YORK (dpa-AFX) – The US stock exchanges recovered slightly on Monday from their heavy losses before the weekend. Investors are currently waiting primarily for new findings on the Coronavirus variant Omikron and have become a little more optimistic again. Because although Omikron could be more contagious than Delta, for example, it is still unclear whether it is also more dangerous and the number of hospitalizations and deaths will increase as a result.

The Dow Jones Industrial won on Wall Street in early trading 0.35 percent to 35 019.79 points, while the market-wide S&P 500 rose by a clearer 1.05 percent to 4642.73 counters. On the Nasdaq, the selection index moved up to 100
