Börse Express – Metro boss Olaf Koch wants to leave by the end of the year

The CEO of the Metro AG retail group wants to give up an office early. Olaf Koch informed the supervisory board that he would like to leave the board at the end of the year, the company announced on Friday evening. His contract actually runs until the end of February 2022. The supervisory board will deal with the matter at short notice.

Koch has been the head of the MDax since 2012 -Group. He gradually converted Metro into a pure wholesaler. He spun off the retailers Mediamarkt, Saturn and Real from the group. Metro recently sold its China business.
