Doctors responsible for treating the Prime Minister British Boris Johnson, reached by the new coronavirus, had prepared the announcement of his death after his hospitalization in the intensive care unit, he said Sunday in an interview with the tabloid The Sun on Sunday.

“It was really a very difficult moment, I will not deny it,” he told the newspaper, speaking for the first time in detail about his illness. “They had a strategy to do it according to a” Stalin death “scenario. “I was not in a particularly bright state and I knew there were contingency plans in place. Doctors had all kinds of preparations for what to do if things went wrong, “he added.

Boris Johnson, 55, announced on March 27 that he had contracted Covid-19, saying he had only mild symptoms. He was taken to hospital on April 5 for precautionary testing, but within 24 hours was transferred to the intensive care unit.
The leader of the Conservative party spent three days on oxygen assistance, stressing when he left the hospital on April 12 that his fight against the virus “could have gone both ways.” He told the newspaper that he had not thought at any time that he was going to die while confiding his annoyance at not getting better. And he became aware of the situation when the doctors were considering intubating him and placing him on an artificial respirator.
Boris Johnson admits to being in “denial”
He returned to work Monday, two days before his fiancée gave birth to their son, whose third name – the child is Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas Johnson – pays tribute to two of the doctors who took care of the head of government, Nick Price and Nick Hart.
Calling his recovery emotionally “extraordinary,” Boris Johnson said he was in “denial” at the outset regarding the severity of his condition. “With hindsight, (the doctors) were right to force me” to go to the hospital, he admitted, saying his experience made him even more determined to fight this disease.
Authorities said on Saturday 621 additional deaths in 24 hours, bringing the total to 28,131 dead, second in Europe behind Italy. The Prime Minister plans to announce a “roadmap” this week to ease restrictions that have been in place since late March.
