Citizens of the Russian Federation are denied entry to the territory of Ukraine. Such information appeared in the Telegram community “Border Goptovka-Nekhoteevka”.

User Rada said in a general chat that from February 12, citizens of the Russian Federation are denied entry to the territory of Ukraine if they do not have “serious reasons” for crossing the state border.

“News from the border! Today, the Ukrainian side does not let Russians through! Only those who have a confirmed death certificate (relative – ed.) … Ukrainians meet and offer the Russians to go for an interview in room 5, a separate building. The Rada also said that Ukrainian border guards advised her to come to the border checkpoint on Sunday, February 13, when other employees of the State Border Service will take over. According to the woman, by the evening a large queue of cars had formed at the border.

“Don’t go today! Anyone with a Russian passport and without a residence permit…,” she added.

Later, another user Dmitry posted similar information in the Telegram community chat.

“I was at Nekhoteevka (Russian border checkpoint – ed.), Customs officers in a private conversation from the Russian side said that after 12 noon today they stopped letting people into Ukraine for medical reasons, even if they had the entire package of documents,” the man said.

There is currently no official confirmation of this information. The press service of the State Border Guard Service did not publish any documents on changing the procedure for the entry of citizens of the Russian Federation into the territory of Ukraine.

As you know, there is a visa-free regime between Kiev and Moscow, so Russians do not need to apply for a visa to cross the Ukrainian state border. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, citizens of the Russian Federation, like other foreign tourists, must have with you one of the documents:

• a document confirming the receipt of one or more doses of the COVID-19 vaccine that have been approved by WHO (“Sputnik-V” is not suitable – ed.);
• a negative result of a PCR test or a rapid antigen test made no more than 72 hours before departure;
• a foreign COVID-certificate confirming the completion of a vaccination course with WHO-approved drugs;
• an insurance policy issued by a Ukrainian insurance company or a foreign insurance company with a representative office in Ukraine.

Unvaccinated foreign citizens must undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine with the installation of the Vdoma application.
