Israel back in total lockdown for two weeks. The proposal of the ministerial committee for the coronavirus arrived on the night of Friday 11 September, but the decision will be validated by the government on Sunday the 13th. A drastic solution that has been reached due to the rise in infections over 4 thousand in just 24 hours. The general closure will concern the feast of Rosh ha-Shanà (the Jewish New Year) and the fasting of Kippur. If there are positive effects, it will then be loosened gradually.
The government will decide the start of the lockdown, but according to local media it could start after Wednesday 16 September, i.e. after the return of the premier Benjamin netanyahu gives Washington, where on the 15th the peace agreements will be signed between Israel and United Arab Emirates. The rules have already been established: you will not be able to leave your homes for longer 500 meters, schools and universities will be closed, prayers can only be held outdoors.
Meanwhile, the numbers of the pandemic continue to rise. The Ministry of Health has made it clear that 146,542 people have been infected since the beginning of the emergency. Currently the sick are 33,920, 982 of whom are hospitalized. More than a thousand dead.
