Bookmakers consider Aminata a favorite of “Supernova”

Although the semi-finals of the Latvian Television (LTV) song contest “Supernova 2022” will take place only on February 5, all knowledgeable bookmakers have already made their predictions.

“Until the start of Supernova, the forecasts could change, but currently the main favorites of our bookmakers are Aminata, Other Boys and Bermuda Triangle,” predicts Valters Rozmanis, a representative of Betsafe.

Bookmakers call Aminata and her song “I’m Letting You Go” (20%), as well as “Other Boys” and their composition “Eat Your Salad” (12%), but the groups of attractive cousins ​​Biceps and Triceps Bermuda’s Triangle debuted on the Supernova stage with an 11% chance of winning.

The chances of the fifth song “He, She, You & Me” co-created with the mentors of the show “X Faktors” by Reinis Sējāns and Intars Busulis with him are in the final with an 8% chance.

It is interesting that many recognizable names have chosen a strategy such as comedy music, starting with newly formed ensembles that will compete with similar but already well-known ensembles such as “Other Boys” and “Bermuda Triangle”. It is difficult to say whether the strategy will work, but experience has shown that there have been years when it has produced the desired results. The most striking surprise from the point of view of the odds was 2014, when Don was considered a convincing favorite by “Aarzemnieki” with “Cake To Bake”, ”reminds Valters Rozmanis.
