The businessman hiding in Dubai, who has 19 charges, Vasil Bozhkov will not appear in the upcoming early parliamentary elections, which will be held on November 14, 2021. This was learned by BLIC from two independent sources.
The Central Election Commission (CEC) has refused to register his Bulgarian Summer party because of sanctions related to the Magnitsky law.
BLITZ specifies that on Wednesday, the deadline for the adoption of documents of the parties and coalitions that want to participate in the vote on November 14 officially expired.
It is still unclear what will happen to Bozhkov’s party after the news that he will drop out of the vote.
BLIC reminds that in the last extraordinary parliamentary elections, which took place on July 11, 2021, “Bulgarian Summer” collected 49,833 votes, which gave them 1.82% and thus remained far from the National Assembly (NA).
