The Brazilian Government’s Secretary of State for Communication, Fábio Wajngarten, tested positive for the new coronavirus and is waiting for a counterproof, according to the brazilian press. Wajngarten is currently isolated at home.
The news comes days after Wajngarten returned to Brazil with the presidential party of Jair Bolsonaro, who was on an official visit to the United States. The Secretary of State was even present at a dinner this Saturday with the President of the USA, Donald Trump, and the Vice President of the country, Mike Pence, at resort Mar-a-Lago, belonging to the American head of state.

Wajngarten published on his Instagram account a photo of him standing next to Trump, with a cap that reads “Make Brazil Great Again” (“Make Brazil great again”), an adaptation of slogan Trump’s campaign campaign “Make America Great Again”.
The President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, will be tested. Also First Lady Michelle Bolsonaro, Chancellor Ernesto Araújo, the Ministers of Defense, Mines and Energy, Institutional Security Office, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces and Deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro will be subjected to analysis.
On the North American side, the press has already advanced that Wajngarten will be infected with Covid-19, but no test has yet been announced to the President of the United States or Vice President Mike Pence.
According to the Washington Post, Trump was asked about this topic by journalists in the White House, before his meeting with Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar, and said only that he is not “concerned”. “I heard something about it. We had dinner together, we didn’t do anything special. We sat side by side for a period of time ”, summarized the President.
