Bohemia Interactive and RocketWerkz studios have launched a joint promotion on the Steam digital store called The Day After. For a limited time, gamers can purchase a set that includes DayZ and Icarus survivalists with a 33% discount – the cost of the set will be ₽2.2 thousand.
On social networks and discussions on Steam, gamers appreciated the sarcastic name of the sale, which plays on the title The Day Before from the studio Fntastic. Many users praised the creators of DayZ and Incarus for their creativity and courage and told how the event lifted their spirits.
The Day Before is a post-apocalyptic open-world action MMO with survival elements. Initially, it entered the top of the most anticipated titles on Steam and attracted the attention of gamers upon release: on the first day of the online title the title exceeded 35 thousand people. However, most users encountered problems: the servers lagged, many were unable to even start playing. As a result, online fell by almost 85% in just 24 hours. Four days after the release, the Fntastic studio announced its closure due to the financial failure of The Day Before – support for the game was stopped, and the title itself was removed from Steam.
