Bogotá D.C. Receives 30,000 Doses of Moderna Covid-19 Vaccine for Immunization Process

Bogotá D.C.

The District Health Secretariat received 30,000 doses of bivalent vaccines against Covid-19 from the Moderna pharmaceutical company from the National Government.

According to the Secretary of Health, Alejandro Gómez, in order to continue with the immunization process and avoid serious effects of the disease, it is recommended to apply the vaccine to people over 18 years of age.

“In the city, these vaccines will be applied to the population aged 18 years and over who have received at least one dose against Covid-19 at least 6 months ago and who are at high risk because they belong to the following three prioritized groups: patients with chronic diseases, people over 60 years of age and human talent in health” indicated the entity.

With the delivery of these biologicals, the city now has bivalent reinforcements that protect against the original virus and against the omicron variant.

The Moderna biological will be available at the city’s vaccination points starting next Saturday, December 2.

Currently, the city has availability of other biologicals against the coronavirus, such as Sinovac vaccines for first and second doses in the population aged 3 and older and for the first booster in people aged 18 and over.
