Frankfurt / Main (dpa) – Promoted VfL Bochum will have to do without Robert Tesche in the next two Bundesliga games. The 34-year-old midfielder was banned for two games by the sports court of the German Football Association (DFB) after his red card in the game against VfL Wolfsburg (0: 1), as the DFB announced on Monday. The veteran had prevented the hosts from scoring a goal with a handball on Saturday and saw the red card in the fourth minute. He has now been banned for “unsportsmanlike conduct”. The player and club have already agreed to the ruling. Tesche is missing against FSV Mainz 05 and the guest appearance at 1. FC Köln.
