BMW Indonesia refuses to investigate 2011 BMW 535i GT engine suddenly dies on the highway for this reason

Otomotifnet.com – The case of Yusman’s 2011 BMW 535i GT engine died suddenly on the JORR toll road continues.

BMW Indonesia asserted that it was reluctant to investigate the cause of the sudden death of the BMW 535i GT.

In the findings of BMW Indonesia, stated that there are no technical problems with the customer’s BMW 535i Gran Turismo recorded in the BMW system since handover to the customer in 2011 to 2017.

“This means that during the five-year BMW Service Inclusive period and the two-year BMW Repair Inclusive period, the customer’s BMW 535i GT performed very well,” said Jodie O’tania, Director of Communications BMW Group Indonesia recently.

Meanwhile, Yusman purchased the BMW 535i Gran Turismo which died suddenly in 2016.

Jodie said there were no service records for the BMW 535i Gran Turismo at any BMW Authorized Dealer since 2017 until the sudden shutdown problem occurred on June 19, 2020.

“With the absence of a service record from October 18, 2017 to June 19, 2020 at an official BMW workshop, unfortunately it is not possible for BMW Indonesia to fully and accurately investigate and understand the condition of the BMW vehicle in question and its track record,” he added.

In response to this, Yusman believes that vehicles that have hidden defects are not detected during routine maintenance.

“Almost all vehicles that experienced a recall because they had hidden defects were started because of an incident. So some of the defective spare parts had to be replaced. Not because they were detected during routine maintenance, right?,” said Yusman.

“In fact, I experienced the sudden death of the car while traveling at a speed of about 100 km/h, it suddenly died,” he continued.
